It was a little bittersweet for Damon Mele (135) of Wasatch, as he beat Creedon Merkley of Uintah.
"It is a little strange since he will be my teammate in a couple of weeks," said Mele, whose family is moving to Vernal. "It was nice to get the win, but at the same time I respect my opponent."
